If you are traveling from Ho Chi Minh City, Bình Dương, or Tây Ninh, there are two main transportation options: car or motorbike.
By car
From southern provinces, follow the HCMC – Long Thành – Dầu Giây Expressway, then merge onto National Highway 1A heading toward Đà Nẵng.
The total distance is around 850–950 km and usually takes 16–18 hours of continuous driving.
Once you reach downtown Đà Nẵng, continue toward Sơn Trà Peninsula via Hoàng Sa Road or Nguyễn Văn Thoại – Võ Nguyên Giáp route. From there, follow the winding uphill road leading to Bàn Cờ Peak.
The road is generally accessible by car, but near the summit the roads become narrower with sharp turns, so careful driving is necessary.
By motorbike
For backpackers and adventure lovers, riding a motorbike to Bàn Cờ Peak is a great option.
However, the journey is long and requires good physical condition, proper protective gear, and careful vehicle preparation.
After arriving in Đà Nẵng, it takes only around 30–40 minutes from the city center to reach the peak by motorbike.
The road is steep, winding, and often foggy, so riders should maintain a safe speed and steady control.
Important notes
